About casualty calculation.

Hello.

I have a question about casualty calculation.

Let's assume I'm attacking 10K defender with hops.

Let's assume hop offense power is 100.

If I attack with 100 hops then casualty will be 100*(10K/(10K+10K)) = 50 hops.

If I attack with 1000 hops then casualty will be about 1000*(10K/(100K+10K)) = 100 hops.

If I attack with 10000 hops then casualty will be about 10000*(10K/(1000K+10K)) = 100 hops.

Is this true?

If I attack with over power then take more casualty?

If this is true then it's very weird system.

Thanks.

Yeah pretty much correct.

10k force each 50% lose 50 troop

100k force 10% lose 100 troop

1mill force 1% lose  100 troop

but one thing you're missing is the damage done to them

they lose 50% first one

90% second one

99% last one,so your forces are killing more...

the last wave took an extra 9% with no added losses to you! the first wave only killed 50% that's why you only lost 50%..now also you need to remember the defender then gets back 30%,that is why this game is about defending over attacking...wierd but true!

My point is why this game does not care troops quantity and quality superiority.

If attacker has elite units and has decent power than defender then attacker must win almost without any loss.

How about this game? Kind of unit and power difference is ignored and always same portion of units disappear.

If I attack 1 mil enemy with 50 mil troops then about 1 mil of my units will be perished.

This is really weird strange calculation method then many other like this games and real battles.

Some old users has really huge troops. They spent really huge real money to collect that amount of troops.

Now they worry about their unit loss and revive lost unit with money.

If they care about spending money then they can't take part in war.

Really vein and pointless game this is.

Hello Archon,

The game care about offense and defense points, period.

About troops quantity and supriority, more weaker troops, or less stronger troops, have the same effects. Of course, more stronger troops is better (and eat less grain). ;)

Now don't forget defense troops have different strength against different attackers. This can do a huge difference. Please study each unit characteristics, their defense value against each kind of attacker is indicated.

For Persians defending units, its simpler, as they just have 3 times their base value when defending against the same category as themselves.

When resolving combats, the majority defense units is used against the majority offense units (all expressed in total = number x value combat points).

It seems that when the fight is clearly unbalanced, the strongest gets really little damage though...

Our capital has been downgraded recently (I should say crushed :p) by 3 monsters I dare not name^^, and they lost between 1 and 2 % of their offense only, while wiping out almost everyone of our tenths of thousands of brave but useless soldiers...

In fact, as they didn't even lose 3%, may it be possible that they got no points at all ? (though they lost hundreds of horses and so on)

It doesn't work this way anymore. We have improved the system of point gaining with the recent update.

about year ago there was different system, where people with overwhelming forces had almost no loses I bet you guys wouldn't like that, it was nice if you were that one with overwhelming force, but lets face it 99.9% of players are not.

and if monster hit you these days u kill part of his units, probably equal to your loses. before he lost close to nothing and you lost all.

And here I was thinking it was the opposite.  I got almost 800 pvp points losing 7 troops at our capital the other day.  I also threw a 500k hit at a capital and did hardly any damage to it.  I might have killed 30 troops?

Apart from assassins, I really can't see what could give you so many points with only 8 units :p

Why would you sacrifice 500k on a capital ? :o
