50k Resource Limit Timings

A quick question - the 50k raid resources per week ... is that based on a 'rolling week' (ie you sieze 50k on day 1 and can sieze no more until day 8, irrespective of what day that is) or is it based on a calendar week? If based on a calendar week - what day are the counters reset?

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks

They're based on a rolling week.

Wait a week after raiding a city before raiding it again.

what I do is keep a record of who I raid the date and the amounts on offer and the result of the raids, I find this so helpful in not wasting raids.

Rollo,

I believe the Battle icon in the lower left of the game screen should keep those records for us, but I'm not 100% confident of it's accuracy. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

The inaccuracy comes from the fact it's reset after 7 days with the new turn at 0:30 UTC, while the delay before being able to retrieve resources from a target is exactly 7 full days, precise to the very second.

So rather than relying on the game (that does allow you to raid without displaying a warning), do keep track of your farms and last date your raided them ona list of your own.

Since 0:00 UTC is 11 AM for me, I just note the next day instead of the current date when I raid targets in the evening. Else you could also note the exact time along with the date... :p

Ok, I'm confused - I thought the raid limit was 50k per week. I recently raided someone in retaliation and seized 100k

Can someone please explain.

Thanks

The gods(plarium) don't want to explain.

Why?

This is the question.

they raided you for 50k earlier ....... means you get to take back the 50 k plus the 50 k weekly allowance. Spend your good resource scores quickly, worst case is you give up grain ...... who cares

All wrong.

I never raided him before, even a beseiged city by him or a member of his coalition.

I still waiting the answer of gods.

The soft cap for raids is 50k resources, but there are certain techniques and features to get around it so you can raid 100k (even free to play players can do it).

I insist that you find it out on your own. It spoils the fun otherwise.

I'll give you a hint and point you towards http://wiki.plarium.com/index.php?title=Raiding,_Strategy:SWOE#Maximizing_Profits

That's easy to understand.

It's only a stock exchange system.

If you send resources to a target, you unbalance the trade in his favor (tyou credit the target), so you can get your resources back + what you plundered from his city.

The 100K you can see here are actually 50K off the target itself, + 50k the raider sent, and that actually belong to him, and he did NOT take off the target.

So in the end, the total is 50k debited to the target (-50 + 50 + 50 = 50).

You can make some easy experiments :

- Try to send resources to someone who has raided your city and taken resources : you won't be allowed to send more than 50k minus what he took from you, or even nothing if he took 50k off you.

- Raid him back : you'll get 100k right away (or 50K + what he took off you), without any galleys trick whatsoever. This is because the trade was unbalanced in your favor (your were debited 50K), so you could take up to 50K from the target + your own 50k that got previously stolen.

- After having plundered 50K off someone, you may think you can't get anything more until the next wek ? Not quite. ;) Now raid him, and send him 50K resources using galleys. You'll get them back.. ;)

But nothing more, as you've taken 50K from him already, so you can only get your own resources back, and nothing more off him. :)

This is what make some people write you can get 150K (which is not really true, since 100K were yours from the start anyway), but you don't actually take them off your target (it's only useful to complete those 30k, 50k and 75k raids quests).

But it's still for the same reason and simple accounting mechanics. :)

Try it with a friend if you want (or anybody else, though they could be less co-operative and spend the resources before you can get them back) ^^ LOL

And of course, I can't see any relevance with "coiners". What the hell are you about ???

Anybody can do this. Of course, to get this in one shot, it would require upgrading the port and harbor to be able to carry 50K, which requires GP¨s (free), Dominion level 10 (free) and a few sketches (not free, to go from 42K to 50K, but you can perfectly live with 92K raids). :)

And finally, you don't have to send those resources in one chunk. You can perfectly send two waves of galleys with 25K onboard each, then raid your target. You'll get 100K resources back, guaranteed.

This has always worked, years before sketches were introduced, and was known as the "double galleys trick".

Also note it works straight away if you raid back someone who stole your resources, as explained above. Provided of course he didn't spend them yet, his granaries and warehouses are large enough, etc. as it's still conditionned to these.

So please stop confusing everything and be honest. You can do the same without spending a penny if you don't want to upgrade any building past level 20 (which has never been compulsory).
