decrease in food production

I would like to know why the food production value decreases. When I have upgraded food production in the academy to level 80, and two farms are upgraded past level 20, why does the food production value still go down? Yes, food consumption will go up and down, according to the troops you have etc., but food production is a function of the work (and money) that a player has put into the game. Surely, this is not fair to players. Is this a rip-off by our game designers? We have paid for it, in good faith, after all.

Archon, every soldier use grain, he need to eat to stay alive lol. On example, my swordsman eat 0,3 food p/h ( http://prntscr.com/bo78ma )

Your grain/food produce will go down every time when you build new soldier in your castel.

You can increase your grain production on few ways.. 1 Upgrading food in the Academy by using scrolls. 2. You can upgrade your farms on lvl20 (using sketches you can go higher on lvl25) and Temple of Demetra on lvl20. 3. You can ''vet'' (paint) your army in Pantheon by using orichs and they wiill eat less. 4. In capital, your league can upgrain grain/food production. 5.You can turn ON your grain production +25% (Market, Resources) and few more ways like turning ON Dominion etc.

You are confusing food consumption and food production. The food production should remain at the same level, no matter how many troops you have. It Is only the food consumption (that is, how much food is used) which should change, according to the number of troops you have.

You produce food and then that food goes to storages, normal thing.

This is how it works..on every Plarium game. Food production and food consumation(army use/eat food).

When it comes to grain, all you need do is substitute the word "production" with "available for storage after consumption"  and it all becomes clear!

There is no rip-off involved, just slightly misleading (for homogeneousness, I assume) wording..

Yes, the temple of Demeter is the first and most important building to upgrade.

As even with full upgrades...
