I now know helping someone defend their city during the clash does not yield points for the helper. That is a shame, it takes away a big part of strategy in fighting.

Hello,
If you are talking about a case when a player does not receive points while reinforcing a City of another player, please no worries. In such a case, the owner of the City receives these points and they are counted in the general Coalition's progress.

that may be, but if you can distribute the points in pvp you can distribute the points in the conflict...otherwise it looks like we are being shorted.
