The packs are based on an algorithm that includes many departments, including research in to what is being purchased and what packs sell well and don't.  Typically the admins are not going to release any information about the packs as with all the different entities that go in to what will be offered.  You can always check every so often to see what is offered though =)

There should be a pack of every type available to every player, starting at $1 for a $10 pack, and marked as 90% off.

If the player chooses to buy a pack, then that pack will be made available in the $20 pack the next day at $3 for 85% off, while ones not purchased say available at 90% off.

Each day a pack is purchased, the packs purchased will go up a level and down in discount until the player buys them at full price, if they choose to keep buying.

Any week that ends with no packs purchased will trigger a "spending downgrade" where packs previously purchased will drop 1 level.

This way players can control the level of spending they do, and what items are most important to them.

EDIT: It also saves the company the time and effort of analyzing the players and purchases to try and figure out what offers to provide.

Try it our for a month and see if it doesn't double sales while reducing overhead.

This already happens (the uptick in price and the effective reduction in % off), although downgrades seem to happen every couple weeks.

Also, if you continue to spend past the point where packs are effectively full priced you end up with the "super packs." These are packs that cost in the hundreds of dollars, but have tremendous additional value added on.

The availability of packs is carefully selected, meaning not all packs are available to all players at all times.

The up tick in prices is not done on a pack by pack basis as far as I can tell.

Hello, Commanders!

As WITTYGAMER said before, we have a very limited impact on prices from community side. Several departments work on their balance and they rely more on specific data and analytics than on players' suggestions. Unfortunately, it’s not a part of the game our players can affect directly or pass suggestions about some changes to it.

As I work with players directly, I really want them to feel happy with our games, and I always pass their suggestions. But there are some things, which we can't affect from our side: prices, Special Offers, Rewards, balance calculations, S/Ds mechanics, and many other things.

But while being limited in opportunities, we can do our best to improve things that we can improve.

Thanks for understanding.

If you look at when the packs reset and record dollar amounts needed to buy, you will see an uptick after each session you buy in. This is on average, as everything in this game has to be defined as "on average" (you should know this since you work so much with S&Ds). The trends then continue as I decribed in my original post.

As for carefully selected, there was a debate about this a while back. It was found that, while certain packs will appear due to in-game events (i.e. special tournaments), on average there is very little influence from the player's own actions. It was found that people thought they influenced the packs due to the spectrum of packs that were available. This effect was likened to how people read the horoscope for their month and say, "Holy crap that's right!", when if they were shown horoscopes from months that weren't their own they would think the same as well.

Would be great if plarium offered better packs for cvc. Or give an extension on the holiday packs they had out recently. Didn't seem to last long this time.
