Hey Commander!
I don’t think it's necessary, there is already a lot of room. In addition you have some construction limitations. So what's the point of enlarging if it's to leave empty.

Commander..I deleted my Black Market Bldg ( the grounded Chopper ) to make room for improvements..I use the Black Market Icon on right side of base screen to access the Black Market..It works and that BM Chopper does take up a lot of unnecessary space

The design constraint is okay.
But I just do not like it when the buildings are all so close together. Zandia is a huge country. ;)
