Occupying bases

Why must some people occupy every base in sight? Is there a reason for this?

Harry, you should know that there is a category " Occupation"  that many strive to be the Top dog in that category. Besides, the occupied bases produce resources for the occupants ;)

no its not that, there are more then a few gamers that always have 100's or more bases occupied while they are not competing in the weekly challange.

and they complain or nuke you if you raid one of them.

They like to "own" all those bases, for some stupid reason.

You can only get resources from 3 occupied bases, no use to keep hundreds, and the highest levels give you the most resources.

Then why occupy everything in sight, including the level 1 and level 2 bases.

I have had discussions with some of those players why they do it, i never got any straight answer from any of them.

i doubt they even know why they do it.

Must be greed or something.

Thank you Sabertooth, certainly answers my question. Which happened to be my own thought but wanted to make sure I wasn't off track.

Most valid points. The total occupation of bases outside of the event makes no sense, of course.  Perhaps, we should ignore their need to acquire needless territory and continue to attack those bases that provide the most advantages to us. For myself,   I ignore bases. it's too contentious an issue

Hey,

As PrinceKaie said, there is a weekly ranking for the number of Bases occupied each week, with rewards at the end. The more you capture Bases, the more you will be in the top.

As SabreTooth said, other players are taking the Bases just for fun. No doubt to show their superiority to smaller players.
