I feel a lot of the comments are towards these invisible "coward" players.. I think you'll have this in any game whether it be invisible missiles, or they use an alt, or they have allies that they have attack you instead of themselves.
I think the original intent of the invisible strike missiles was to actually allow some of the smaller players to attack larger players and be able to play, without fear of retaliation. Everyone brings up a good point, when one of the pay-to-play guys comes to hit your base they bring 10+M power and most non-paying customers do not have the ability to have that amount of player. However they can still feel like they accomplished something by using these missiles.

As for the battles, unfortunately, it's technically difficult to launch battle visualization to the game. Also, we're afraid it can overload the game server and influence gameplay.
