Charging countries more money for packs.

Plarium must not like Australians (And possibly other countries). They charge us extra money for offers.

A top end offer is $100 USD for the Americans. Which is $120-125 AUD after currency conversion for Australians. Yet for some reason our offers are $160 AUD. $35 AUD more then we should be paying.

I do not know how this practice has gone without incident as I thought there were supposed to be good anti descrimination laws and consumer laws in place that prevent the charging of extra to countries just because they do not like that country. This is a morally disgusting practice as it is the same concept as charging more to others purely on the basis because they have a different skin colour, gender or religion.

I want to know why Australians are paying an extra $35 AUD then we should be contradictory to other mobile games. Some examples being Battle Mobile and Star Wars Commander do the correct currency exchange rate and only charge $125 AUD after conversion from $100 USD. If other mobile games do it correctly why are Plarium choosing not to?

Hello, Commander! We have already discussed this question some time ago.

As far as I know, it depends on payment method and currency conversion. Unfortunately, we can't influence this. Since I don't resolve payments issues, I can give you more details.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Checking and adjusting according to the proper exchange rate might help.....

Or are you in the practice of purposefully overcharging under the pretense of taxes when to my knowledge Google and Apple do not pay taxes to Australia?

I agree with Sparhawk122. Everyone should gave and equal opportunity to play and buy packs at the same exchange rate as everyone else. Otherwise if he's paying $35 more he should be given more in the pack. It's not hard for the devs to fix this. If they lower the rate to the correct exchange rate more people will be able to afford it and buy from you. Cheating the customer is never a good business practice.

Or since we have to pay extra than others give us more in the offers.

What you are doing is wrong and you know it.

You could even offset the price to come into line with other countries. Just too greedy to bother :/

Need a better explanation than its googles fault. When aussies are paying in some cases double what other countries are paying for the same pack

I have a case with a pack of DKK (Danish currency) of 1798 which converts to USD $382.5

$382.5 is a huge difference for a top boundry of $100. I do purchase via Apple and I know there can be a fee of 6-30% but that still does not amount to $382.5.

See picture.

Yes, i have also observed that the prices for various packs are discriminated for different countries.

I agree! All pack prices should be the same( adjusting for TODAYS current exchange rate) for all players in all countries. Or pack payouts should be larger for those that are charged more, plain and simple.

Hello, guys! I have discussed this situation with my responsible colleague and here is what I found. As a developer, we set only the base price for every offer. We do not make any exceptions for a certain country or region. The base prices are the same for everyone. However, the actual prices that you can see in your local currency depend on the conversion rate set in the Store. Unfortunately, we can't influence this.

I hope this information will be useful.

Dear Alina, what currency is the base price set in? Because I will show you that it is not conversion rates in play?

Conversion rate in another mobile game.

Conversion rate for Plarium. A mysterious extra $30 for their top offers.

 https://imgur.com/a/GlRS5

Also the top 700 companies in Australia do not pay taxes. So yeah....

And I love it how all the offers are one price. Lots of options in this game...

Greedy and overcharging based on nationality instead of doing proper currency exchange prices. It is not Google. When I called them up a few months ago they sounded surprised that Australians were paying an extra $30.

Would Americans pay $125-$130 USD for those Plarium offers???

No. Then why expect us to.

One of those packs for us which is $125 USD only has 50 bombers and razors. What a joke.

Plarium must think "Australia the wealthy country" as with other countries and do the dodgey by putting the cost of pack purchases up.

Below is a conversation with a Google representative. He said they only go off the current global currency exchange rate.

I agree with Sparhawk. We too, in Canada, experience the same discriminatory pricing as he does in Austrailia. I recently bought a pack that sells in the US for 9.99... I was charge 14.99 C$... Current exchange rate is 1US$ = 1.29C$. The pack should have been 12.89 C$.. another example of the continuing overcharging that Plariumn is complicit in..

As a fellow aussie, I have to agree. The cheapest pack we get is more often $14.99  AUD and contains squat where in USD whilst its cheaper, it doesnt equate to the currency exchange at the time - regardless of its fluctuations... we are still paying alot more than we should be.

So to surmise what your telling us here, Alina Bright. The advertiser's of your development are up charging selective countries and royally polverising the enjoyment your development has to offer. And your satisfied with this result?

I agree Sparhawk. Its a game changer that some countrys need to pay more for the same content. Please change this thing. Its unfair to all players!

Google say all they are is a service provider and they do not control the price of the packs , plarium sets the price they offer the service.

They are more expensive because your company set the prices to be more expensive contrary to global exchange rate.

Everything should be equal pay.  If I pay $100 usd then everyone should pay the same for that package.  It should be equal no matter the currency rate or exchange

If I am paying for something. I want to know where that extra $30 AUD is going as a customer it is a right.

Please find out and explain it. And have for each fee the extra cost associated with it or I will get my bank to do it.

Regards.
