The Great Schism, also known as the War of the Elves, was among the most devastating conflicts Aravia had known. Thousands died, and many more were driven from their lands by the merciless raids the Dark Elves and their allies relied on to cripple the King’s forces. Some of those refugees chose to take up arms. Eager to punish those who had spilled innocent blood, they had banded together into a loose paramilitary Order and called themselves Avengers - the guardians of Aravian frontiers. 

And even now, generations after the war had ended, the need for Avengers remains. Still, ambitious Dark Elves and Orcs alike launch raids over Felwin’s Wall at times, and a Knightly Order dedicated to safeguarding the borderlands is often better suited to answer such threats than the Royal Host. Therefore Avengers prefer lighter armor and rely on hit-and-run tactics when duty calls them to battle. They are graceful and deadly opponents whose blades strike with the swift precision of a viper and ever seek their prey’s weakness.
