Just fought NigthRumi in arena - I went first and right away after Talia countered - and no the Aweome presence buff was not on.  ALso they did not have counter attack gear on as Tallia had lifesteal on.

So this ie either a bug or nightrumis hacking - either way Im asking that the result of that match be reversed and this get fixed.  I should not have to put up with this.
