I have exactly the same. Earlier I was in G4 and now I am fighting to stay in G3. One day I refreshed the arena every 15 minutes throughout the day. All teams were much, much stronger (e.q. 110 me vs 180 opponent). Or (Team Power -TP) 110 me vs 115 opponent and he passed me out in firs turn!

I always start first (I have really speed apo) but later... just massacre.

It makes sense that their algorithms can't take into account the players who decide they need to drop rating and put a single champion on defense, so pure luck whether you face any of those  (I also imagine that you'll see fewer of those right before the weekly arena reset as everybody tries to get rewards for the highest possible tier). 

IMO new algorithm sucks! Because even if they want to fall, the whales have more champions and better gear, so a player like me (early game or mid game) has no chance. It will be weeks or months before I get better champions or artefacts! I stuck with mission (upgrade GH to level 8) and I'm now able to score a few points a week. This is sick! I don't have Arbiter, Rotos, Hegemon, Tormin and other and I still have such opponents!

The more I fight, the lower I fall... sad

Yep, it has definitely changed.  Opponents are far harder all the time than they were a week ago!

It might have something to do with inactive players dropping down one tier every week and getting in the way of active players with weaker rosters... but then I don't know why it would suddenly be so much worse now than last week. 

Yes, i see at the top of screen players with lower rating but it doesn't change anything anyway. E.g. first team from top Prince Keymar, Valkirie, Madame Series and Seeker (rating 2606) me Apo, Draco, Brakus, Rhazin (rating 2734) I don't have any chance... And lower is worse - stronger and stronger. And one more thing, it doesn't last for a week but longer. I think since the last update.

There was no change in the Arena system, but different factors might have affected the competition. There was a change for the rewards from Gold tier chests. The recent start of the Arena tournament also factors in. These events might have made your Arena tier more competitive.

I completely agree something has drastically changed regardless of whats being communicated.  I've lost over 600 points in a week and never match anyone close to my level.   

With whatever change has/hasn't been implemented I've given up on the Arena lately.  My 120k team cant beat 10 choices of opponents all 140k+.

I was fighting players with over 250k power last week.

I was crushing them.

My victories went down nicely with a Side of Fava Beans & a nice Chianti!

They should add Plat 1 to 4 and have plat rewards vary depending on that. But right now, gold 4 is just full of lazy plat teams who just farm gold 4 easily because they know they wont get into plat. Where as is play 1 and 2 were unlimited, plat 3 could be 2000-5000 players and plat 4 being for 1000 players. At least there wouldnt be the bottleneck at gold 4.

Arena progression levels:

Early game team player: everyone's way too hard, i can't get out of bronze/silver

Late game team player: everyone's too easy, I'll push for platinum.

Platinum team player: i can't stay in platinum unless I whale out on tokens.

What you write shows one thing: the arena is not working well. You have too weak opponents, me and Kragart too strong. And You and I don't have so much fun because of it !

Yes, we are in agreement.

Arena should be fair.

Low level teams should be match with other Low level teams.

I don't see any change in arena matching. You just can't keep up in the progression of other players. 

What I see change is the meta. There are now Siphi and Rotos. Everytime I see them in my list I prioritize in attacking them so teams with Siphi and Rotos will rank down in arena. And lower rank players than me with no counter to Siphi and Rotos will have hard time in arena :D :D :D

Very funny: "You just can't keep up in the progression of other players." If it was only about fighting in the arena, I would agree with you. But for new players, completing missions is now veeeery difficult or sometime impossible. And here's the problem.
