Inquisitor: Warmaster, Giant Slayer or Helmsmasher?

So I chose Warmaster for my inquisitor because of his single hit A1 and the fact it counters whenever the enemy lands a debuf, but it never seems to proc???

am I missing something here?

I don't have Shamael, so I can't test, but Ayumi and HellHades both recommend Warmaster for Shamael vs. bosses and I couldn't find any information that Warmaster doesn't work with his A1 passive effect.

Did you really test if it procs (watching the whole fight and concentrating on Shamael) or did you just view some random rounds of a fight and didn't see it proccing there?

/edit: I think the activity he does from the passive effect is considered as one attack per turn. Maybe Giantslayer as tier 6 mastery?

Yeah, i saw HH recommended WM, which is why I chose it, but doing void keep runs today, I'm sure only the first hit of a stack of counters procs WM which makes me suspect it's treating them as a multi hit.

I've got a mastery reset left on him so I can switch, but I don't want to do that if Giant Slayer doesn't work either.

Warmaster procs only once from his passive, as it is considered as single multi hit skill.

Giant Slayer works, but it might be counter productive for Hydra, where with him in group you actually want Head of Torment to live longer as it literary does nothing but helps boosting your leaders TM.
