General questions?

Привет и добрый вечер из Сибири!

Hello and good evening from Siberia! I had a few questions that, I am unsure if were covered in the other guides, as I have yet to read them! But these questions are very random, so hopefully someone will have answers, or more likely, I do not understand the answers.

The beginner faqs dictated that we should not level up artifacts of low quality. This seems to completely go against the missions and challenges regarding leveling up artifacts to Level 12, but the highest artifacts that new players get are 4-star. Should we level up 4-star artifacts to Level 12 or even higher? What if they are 3-star Epic? Does quality truly matter, or are the stats the more important thing to focus on? If a Rare artifact has 4-stars, should I upgrade that to Level 12 versus a 3-Star Epic?

Regarding recommendations for artifacts, which also go against the Missions and Quests. The recommendations rarely, if ever, tell you to slot all 6 of a specific type of artifact. Do we slot them to complete the quest, then remove them?

Also, as a player of Summoners Wars, Onmiyoji and other games, how much does slots matter? Why is a helmet with an HP boost preferable to be in the second slot versus a helmet with a Crit % for example?

Regarding Missions and Challenges,  I have the strangest feeling that I should take my time completing them and focus on improving my champion. But are there ANY uncommon Champions that I should be keeping, or are they all fodder?

Although this game is similar to other games, but mostly Heir of Light, as far as character design goes (yet this game seems to be superior overall) what features set this game above the other Gatcha games (Although that term is derogatory for certain games - Onmiyoji comes to mind - it isn't meant to be insulting for a game of t his quality, I have and would spend money on it) and what will make this game succeed while the others will, in terms of Summoners War and Onmiyoji, start to fail?

Thanks for any input!

Regards,

Vulag Tismaneanu

Artifact level is mostly dependant on what stage of the game you are in, but it doesn't take long to get a few good pieces from the free gear you get just for logging in and a few other bonuses. I'd say as a general rule of thumb, only bring artifacts to 16 if it is a 5 star epic with a good set of stats. If you're fairly new and haven't achieved your first 5 star, leveling any artifact to level 4 is pretty safe as it it is low cost and no risk, just to help you get a bit further to attain better equipment.

For artifact slot quests, depending on the requirements will determine how you play it. High star gear costs a significant amount more to remove than low star gear, so depending on how much silver you have to spare and what your needs are, do what feels comfortable.

For stats for slots, there is no preference what stat goes into what slot. HOWEVER, certain stats can only be obtained through certain pieces as main stats, and to a lesser extent sub stats. For instance, Your weapon will only ever have a flat attack bonus, helmet flat HP bonus, and shield flat defense bonus. The other pieces will vary significantly more, and also have stats limited only to them. For instance, Crit rate can only be a main stat on gloves, and Speed can only be a main stat on boots.

There are a few uncommon champs that can be useful for a decent portion of your progression especially for free to play players, though effectively none of them are end game worthy, so it's only worth taking them through to a certain point before replacing them. Depending on your play style, this may take a while.

As far as failing and succeeding, that's the gambit you'll have to take along with the rest of us. This game has had a lot of ups and downs due to good developments and poor dev support. It's important to note that this game producer is owned by a casino company so their only goal is to make money from it and as soon as it doesn't, they'll abandon it. They have a lot of content coming, but it's virtually anyone's guess as to when as the devs all but refuse to discuss release dates or latest developments and instead resort to sneak peeks for future content that effectively mean nothing.

Thanks much for your reply!

That's slightly unfortunate regarding the Uncommon Champions, though, since the character designs are brilliant! But it is great to know that slot stats don't particularly matter.

Two more questions for ya:

1) Do Higher difficulty levels increase the chance to farm Champions? (Thinking about farming Inugami on Summoner's Wars)

2) Elhain has an arrow skill called 'Valley of Death'. I realize that she is a High Elf, but is this a typo? Shouldn't it be 'Volley' of death?

3) Bonus question: Should I sell the 2-Star artifacts and below upon receiving them from missions unless they have specific stats that meet certain requirements for missions?

Thank you for the honesty. I suppose I will enjoy it for as long as I can. I am guessing that the Community Managers are not game devs?

Further into the campaign provides opportunities to obtain rare champs in certain levels. Drops are displayed when you select the campaign level so you'll know what's possible to get from that particularly one. The chance is pretty low and the champs themselves aren't super good, but the farmable campaign champs are all used to 'fuse' together for an epic champ which is a great choice for F2P as he's quite strong.

Elhain's skill may imply that she protects some kind of valley, and has resulted in the nickname 'Valley of Death'. That's speculation, as lore for this game is pretty limited at present.

I'd say depending how far in you are, you will probably never make decent use of 2 star gear, even if it's epic quality, as the stats provided are very small. The only way they would be really useful is if you have empty slots and you simply have nothing else to put in them.

Community Managers I believe at least have direct ties to development, though to what extent isn't particularly clear. They generally know quite a lot about the game, and they may be intentionally secretive about update release dates as they either may not be privy to that information, or may not be allowed to discuss it. Either way, their responses are always few and far between, and generally not helpful unless it's about something that already exists in game and isn't about a bug you are experiencing.

Hello ! please tell me why are you stealing my joy from playing this game for me? Why are you thieves and fools? Why do I have to get to a point where I have to invest real money in the game to be able to play away buying good artifacts and good champions? Why after hundreds of stones of which void shard and sacred shard only receive 3 star champions that I can't play with because they are too weak? Why do you take money from the game I worked for when I want to upgrade an artifact and it doesn't upgrade? You are thieves who forgot the joy of the game, thieves who run after money and lose what is beautiful in life, play. After many weeks of play I will delete the game with regret because I worked hard, but I have nothing to do because I can no longer advance in the game. bye.

Why get use to spend real money? YOu do realize the people who work on this game dont work for free. Therefore the company has to make money somehow. God help us if they get as greedy as Battle Pirates. They make enough for the entire staff to go on seveal rich and famous type of vacations a year and still make a LOT for the company profits.
