Challenge Balance Changes 31.08.2018

Greetings, Warriors.

We have introduced a balance patch today. The changes are covered at length in the notes below, as well as the reasons for those changes.

  • Dungeons Challenges Part 2 now grants 1 Ancient Shard for completion 
  • Cancel Dragon’s Scorch skill in the Dragon’s Lair now grants 50,000 Silver 
  • Dungeons Part Challenges 3 now grants 1 Ancient Shard for completion 
  • Clear the 8th floor of the Dragon’s Lair now grants 50,000 Silver 
  • Clear the 13th floor of the Dragon’s Lair now grants 200,000 Silver 

  • Artifacts Part 1 now grants 1 Rare Skill Tome for completion 
  • Equip one 2-Artifact Set on a single Champion now grants 10,000 Silver 
  • Equip two 2-Artifact Sets on a single Champion now grants 10,000 Silver 
  • Equip three 2-Artifact Sets on a single Champion now grants 10,000 Silver 
  • Artifacts Part 2 now grants 1 Rare Skill Tome for completion

  • Arena Challenges Part 1 now grants 100 Gems 
  • Kill an enemy during the first turn is now adjusted to “Kill an enemy during the first turn of the Champion” and grants 25,000 
  • Get to the Silver Tier 1 now grants XP booster 1 Day 


The reward system for Challenges is going through a significant revamp right now. As it stands, we have detected a large number of players creating and abandoning new accounts until they get a powerful Champion that they want. Some have taken to selling such accounts for profit. This is a practice that we want to stop, and as such we have moved many of the rewards to the Campaign Challenges instead, eliminating the possibility of going through a large number of Ancient Shards at the very start of the game. We added extra to these rewards as well for the effort it takes to complete the Campaign with that many Stars! Now it is time to adjust the existing Challenge rewards accordingly and shift our focus to providing our players with the means to improve the Skills of their existing Champions and make them more viable.

Keep in mind that balance is tricky, and the game will undergo some significant changes during the Soft Launch phase. We will strive to make certain our existing players are affected as little as possible by this rebalancing effort. Your feedback and opinions are welcome.


Bugfix

  • Fixed an issue causing the game client to freeze when loading Battles under certain conditions.

Пока что да, но у нас в начале следующей недели будет хотфикс. В него должна войти пачка багов, и этот в том числе.

It's a good fix. But what with players who honest play and bought shards for dollars and don't have legendary heroes. Players creating and abandoning new accounts before that have legendary heroes. Now they have powerful heroes and I don't have. Should I buy new shards? Soon these people will be kill me in the arena very easy. Maybe need to think about encouraging honest people...

There is a rumor abroad dat Plarium will make craft system for champions. You could craft legendary hero from few same epics. but need confirmation

I'll be discussing a few ideas that the Community suggested with the Dev Team soon. In the meanwhile, I hope that you'll be able to get something valuable either from Campaign rewards or the Monthly Quest Sacred Shard!

Not as much a rumour! We have that in our Champions guide, it's a planned feature. I am not sure which Champions are going to be available through it, but we do want to add it.

Сегодня мы ввели патч ребаланса Заданий. Изменения подробно описаны в примечаниях ниже, а также указаны причины этих изменений.

Важное примечание : игроки, которые уже начали Задание , получат старое  вознаграждение. Например, если вы делаете «Чемпионы», часть 3 и на полпути, то вы все равно получите 3 «Древних осколка», а не «Эпический том навыка».


Задание  подземелий Часть 2 - теперь награда составит 1 древний осколок


Отменить умение Драконьего Скорча в Логове Дракона теперь награда : 50 000 Серебряных


Задание "Подземелья" ч. 3 теперь дает 1 древний осколок 


Очистите 8-й этаж логова Дракона теперь дает 50 000 серебра


Очистить 13-й этаж логова Дракона теперь дает 200 000 серебра


"Артефакты" ч. 1 теперь предоставляет 1 Том Редкого Навыка


Оденьте один сет из 2 артефактов на одного чемпиона теперь дает 10000 серебра

Задание Арена Часть 1 теперь дает 1 Редкий Tom Навыка


Задание Арена  Часть 1 теперь дает 100 самоцветов


Задание "Убить врага в течение первого хода " теперь заменено на «Убить врага в течение первого хода Чемпиона» и дает 25 000 сепебра


Достижение  Серебряного уровеня 1 на Арене теперь предоставляет XP бустер 1 день



Система вознаграждений  за Задания  сейчас проходит через значительную реконструкцию. На данный момент ,  мы обнаружили большое количество игроков, которые создают и бросают новые учетные записи, пока не вызовут Легендарного чемпиона . Некоторые стали перепродавать такие аккаунты .  Мы хотим исключить , такого рода практику , и поэтому мы переместили многие из вознаграждений за Задания  в награды за прохождение Кампании , исключив тем самым возможность получения большого количества древних осколков , в самом начале игры .  Теперь Нашим игрокам придется сосредоточится на том , что бы больше внимания уделить прокачке имеющихся у них чемпионов и на том что бы   сделать их более жизнеспособными.


Имейте в виду, что баланс сложный, и игра будет претерпевать значительные изменения во время фазы Soft Launch. Мы постарались,   чтобы эти изменения не затронули игроков которые пришли в проект на более ранней стадии , поэтому любые Задания которые были начаты Вами до этих изменений ,  по-прежнему будут обеспечивать первоначальные награды. Можете оставлять Ваши отзывы и коменты .

Thanks for the effort guys, re rolling is a big deal on in game chat, but had no idea it went as far as selling accounts which is horrible, think if you want to take the empathiis off legendary champions we really need to be able to farm rare and epic tombs, to be honest i dont care if legend tombs are near impossible to obtain because imo a legend build should be a sacrifice to your list and take months of eating energy like crazy. Think there is alot of skill in building a rare and epic team that work well together, just need to make sure that the effort of fully ascending, maxing skills of rares and epics have the clear upper hand over the luck of summoning legendaries, perhaps the base boost from ascending could do with a boost! Thanks

unfortunately boost from ascending seems to be very low and without farming books for skills you can max skills for few champions (besides 16 rare champs from campaign, but it`s pretty hard to farm them and not all are useful)

I have an issue with progressing Artifact challenges 2.4-2.8.  I have completed them all the specified number of times and no Challenge progress has been made.  I even have at least 5 of each of the drops from the stages in my inventory.  Please help as I can't progress in my challenges.  I have done them on auto at least 5 times each as well.  My username is Allanon, my ID is 103519.

If people completed all the challanges, it doesn't impact them in anyway? If there is more rewards, can they at least be given the difference, since we can't go back to complete the expanded task list.

My account won't claim dungeon challenge 2.1 even though i did it and it is the last challenge to be claimed for me to able to progress. Please fix!

Why the possibility of getting a legendary hero so slim? I’ve spent over 200 blue and purple shards and only got 1 legendary hero that is worst than my rare hero. Very disappointing on the outcome, the possibilities need to be fix a bit.

There were no balance changes, otherwise, they would have been reflected. I should also note that these past two posts are going off-topic, it is best to find a thread on the same subject or create a new one if you are unable to do so.

Hey Marius,

New player here, loving the game and was just looking for a challenge reward list when I stumbled upon this thread. I've read through everyone post and just wanted to post my idea (maybe it will generate a good conversation or give raid devs some ideas). Challenges (overall) is a great idea and i have found it rewarding as a new player (few days short of a month playing). I get that some may feel that they have been "left out" with the revamping of the rewards and i know that everyone (on both sides of the aisle) have put in a great deal of effort into making the game more engaging and entertaining (this games community is pretty awesome). 

here is the pitch: seasonal challenges. nothing to absurd but maybe a champion that is only available during said challenge period. If a champion is too steep of a reward maybe a few shards and books to help the more invested player push those epic or legendary champions to 100%. (I know you have tournaments in game and that is awesome but that pits player vs player in a bid to get top spots (and that level of competition is awesome) but I was just thinking maybe these challenges can pit player vs content).


Small note: I'm currently on part 4 out of 10 of the Artifact Challenges, why can you only get the 3* from normal (not hard or brutal)? seems like a big energy dump for a gate challenge.

Thank you for your feedback. I am aware of the fact that this is a slightly old post and that there have been numerous ''events'' and changes to the rewards that may fit the description of the suggestion, however I do fine the idea of ''seasonal challenges'' to be exciting. According the official raid road map and my knowledge, is that there will be plenty of oppertunities for players to gain in-game rewards by new and exciting features. All the best in game and have fun playing!.
