A use for used up Carpenters

Once all upgrades are done, those very expensive carpenters do nothing, FOREVER!

My suggestion, let them be assigned to the shipyard, either for fleet or armada units, and give a bonus of perhaps 20% to speed for building those units.  Not only does it give a purpose to those carpenters, it even makes sense.

Ahoy Captain! Thank ye fer yer suggestion. Who knows, we might open retraining courses fer Carpenters in the future. I will forward yer idea to our dev team fer further consideration.

or allow us to donate them to our Bh or use them update our discoveries


and of course adding new buildings or more upgrades to our building will always be nice lol

Blasphemy,  the existence of alternative accounts remains a huge problem, that's why a possibility of free transferring Carpenters from one Captain to another might be abused.

that's why i said among bh's plus it's not a free transfer, what if they had to pay with rubies like we had to? then you aren't really abusing?

lets just says you wont be paying the full amount but half like a discount? 

not many BH's will allow u to have alts in there clan....



there will have to be rules applied of course

Since they're out of work then they can start speeding up shipbuilding, Each unused carpenter should be allowed to be applied as a reuseable  speed bonus.

four carpenters..

4 categories of troops.

1st carpenter converted to 10% build speed for Pirates at a cost.. last to be reversible for if you add levels to something later.

2nd carpenter converted to 10% build speed for Mercenaries  at a cost.. 2nd to last be reversible for if you add levels to something later.

3rd carpenter converted to 10% build speed for Fleet at a cost.. 3rd to last  to be reversible for  cost if you add levels to something later.

4th carpenter converted to 10% build speed for Armada at a cost.. 1st to be reversible if you have it for if you add levels to something later.


glad to see this suggestion.. my captain Salty Dog mentioned this idea 4 weeks ago .. I was coming to add it.. good job on recommendation

another idea to follow now...

How about a new building (like a workshop) where you can put your carpenters to work.

I se 8 different jobs that can be done and you should only be able to put one carpenter on a specific task. 

The first 3 is boosting the 3 different resource productions by helping building tools, barrels and so on. The next 4 is helping the unit productions by building training equipment and working in the shipyard. And the last task is helping with research by building prototypes and models.

I don't see any reason to limit this to people that have built and upgraded everything. It will be a way for players to focus on a task instead of building something, and a way to get a use for the carpenters after the building is done.

ADDING TO ORIGINAL SUGGESTION. the different buildings signifying the ability to build new troops could be where you go to turn a carpenter into a category building troop speed boost - and have levels to upgrade CARPENTER'S boosts by 1% per level till maxed at where ever the developers see fit..


NAGA.. this was not meaning to limit it to those whom have finished upgrading buildings
Your idea is good maybe both can be done - but the original idea is more pressing.

Everyone will finish upgrading buildings some day. So this is for Everyone

THEN what are they good for - lets make something for them to do THEN
you need your carpenters to finish building upgrades first

 

we already have many different ways to boost production.. so that is already been done with
prestige activated boosts.,
25% boosts,
50% boosts..
finish sketches and upgrades get another 7% boosts.
rum reduction in pearls.. so while I am not against that - it has been done on several levels.

unit production can also be boosted - which is what we are talking about using carpenters for anyway
 the last thing you do with carpenters is finish upgrading your resource production..
and you can raid more resources now from treasure Islands -
and raid for resources 10 time a day from the very start

three...again researched sketches and upgrading Can be boosted -

do you want useless carpenters in the end AFTER ALL IS DONE?-

 or get  a permanent added benefit for the expense of buying all 4 Carpenters?

From what I've heard sparta got buildings past lv20 awhile ago. So I assume that was a test run for the other games. My guess is eventually we'll see it. When that happens least your carpenters will be somewhat useful again.


But I would love to see a way to boost unit production other than using the current boosts
