Why can't we cancel troop builds?

We can pull back a raid if you choose to soon enough, but you can't cancel a troop build.  I know, not a HUGE deal, but sometimes you click on Purchase on the wrong line and WISH you could just cancel...  or maybe you kicked off 200 of something but suddenly find you need something else.

I don't know, but if they're not built, you should be able to cancel, at least within a time (like on a raid).

I won't pretend to know the reason why not, but I am willing to make a guess as to why we cannot . my thought would be that it would make it far to easy for someone who is online to hide all there resource's if they are being raided then after the raid cancel the build , so at the moment if you want to dump your resource's via the tavern we must stick to our commitment.

other reason might just be they have yet to come up with the code to cancel it or they haven't thought of it yet

There is a point to the idea of cancelling, AND a point that we don't want to just hide resources.  That's a hard balance to strike.  In "theory" you could penalize a cancel to the person striking after-the-fact, but programatically that'd be a nightmare.

Heh, Alternatively, you could change the game so that ONLY those things actually being BUILT are safe, and any resources queued are subject to raid.  The raid could literally cancel a build of troops.  How sweet would that be for the person rebuilding to attack you again?  And that's not MUCH worse than the fact that every new troop ends up in the haven open to be attacked and killed by a constant raid, not harbor where they're safe.  IF you did this, THEN you could cancel troop builds without an issue.

My guess is it'd make people mad too.  LOL

Ahoy Captains! Such changes can have huge consequences. Actually turlough hit the nail on the head. We're trying out best to block possible ways to cheat, that's we cannot allow to cancel a troop build.

Fair winds to ye all, me Hearties!

Imperial Units have the same mechanics as the regular ones. Besides, you can boost their training with Boosts and clear the queue that way.
