Special offer

There's one thing that bugs me for a while regarding Special Offers (those where you need to select 1 of 3 chests first).

Why do devs claim that the "original price" of this special offer is $99?

As you can see right below this offer, there's real $99 offer, where you can get about 30% more rubies and value of bonus items is 3 time higher!

Is this supposed to be some kind of "business" trick?

did you miss the part with total value of bonus items and rubies ?

50$ is cheaper than a 100$ (no need to be smart for that ) , but its obvious that you buying 3 times less for 50$ in this case ...

For 50$ you get less than for 99$, that's obvious. My point is why Plarium claims that the first offer (Special Offer) is discounted from 99$ to 49$ while the package is not worth of 99$.

The second offer (Construction Speedup) is there just for comparison, to show the real value of real 99$ offer.

they all cost too much.  At most vets level we use all of that 99$ package worth of everything in an afternoon.  PL's packages need to keep up with the times and the consumption.  folks should stop spending 1k a month or it will never change. The whole business model is antiquated, nobody uses 9's anymore or lies about list pricing.  PL would make a ton more money if all prices were dropped 95% and based it on a micro pay system.  5000 users spending 5 bucks makes more than 10users spending 100 bucks every hour.

I would like to say one thing about the chests though.  I got one that reduces a 50buck package down to less than 10.  so long ago I forgot the percentage but it was something like 80%.  I bought the limit of those packages.  PL shouldn't care how many fake in game moneys get given away or how many pretend army units.  getting a miser like me to spend like that should be the new business model.  I swear to god it will pay off.  look at what any app store grosses.  micro pay is a no brainer

These are different Offers with Different Bonuses: one with Units, and one mostly with Boosts.

You have missed my point. It is irrelevat what Offer has (boosts, units, resources or potions). If I'd take a screenshot two hours later, there could be a 99$ offer with units.

My point is, and I try to keep it as simple as possible, why does Plarium claims that the Special Offer's original price is 99$ (see the picture below) while its value is significantly lower?

Total value of this Special Offer is 27 700 rubies + bonus items worth of 59 820 = 87 520 rubies.

Total value of normal 99$ offer is around 210 000 - 220 000 rubies.

Do you get my point now? This offer's value is nowhere near the normal 99$, yet Plarium claims this offer is discounted from 99$ to 49$.

It looks like some kind of deceptive advertising.

Oh, sorry. I really misunderstood you first. Thanks for the details. Basic price depends on the basic amount of Rubies. Bonuses added are random (well, not completely random, but random within a certain range). So basically you buy the 99$ regular offer (16500+4200)  and get some extra bonuses for your purchase. Sometimes you receive more, sometimes less.

All Items, Units, "for free" Rubies are additional bonus. You pay for a regular offer, not for the bonus.
