increasing galleon capacity

Hello,

I just used 50 idols in the Smuggler's Den on an item which is supposed to increase the carrying capacity of my galleons by 10%.

The 50 idols were deducted, but my galleon capacity did not increase.

My Market has been upgraded to level 22 (so I have 30 trading galleons) and my House of Navigation has been upgraded to level 21 (so I have 225% carrying capacity). I was expecting to further increase this by 10% using the idols on that Smuggler's Den item, but it obviously did not work.

Is this something I need to file as a bug?

Also, where can I see how much the galleon capacity is increased in total? I mean, should the increment by the idols work, I would have extra 10% from those and 225% from the HoN upgrades, so each galleon should be able to carry 235% of its original load. Where am I supposed to see that 235 number?

Regards,

Kev

Hello, Captain!

You have increased your basic Galleons capacity with the Galleons item. 10% bonus is applied not to the total capacity of your Galleons, but to the basic value.

The reported case cannot be classified as a bug since this is a part of the regular gameplay. I have moved your topic to Game Discussion thread.

That would be fine with me.

However, regardless of what that 10% goes onto, I still should see my galleons delivering at least 1 piece of gold or lumber more. And I see no increase at all. So what did the 50 pieces of idols I used give me?

I'm writing this from memory, because I boosted my galleons a long time ago, so my numbers might be incorrect.

Total galleons' capacity without any idols: 400*30*(1+235/100) = 39000,

Total galleons' capacity with one pack of idols: 400*30*(1+235/100+10/100) = 40200.

Is any of these two correct? If yes, which one?

P.S. These don't account for prestige bonus. If you have that, add 50/100 in each of the parentheses and recompute.

Something that may have been missed on this one. You can only send a max of 50k to any haven. Even if your galleons can care 60k or more your capacity to sending in one load is 50k.

If you want to see the full capacity of all your galleons combined, start the process for putting up a trade in the market. You'll be able to see the capacity of your galleons that way.

The good news is that today I see the expected increase in the capacity of my galleons. So either the Plarium guys fixed it, or I had to log out and log back in for the increase to take effect, or simply things were properly recalculated because of the game reset for the new day.

Crowbar, your memory is excellent. Your calculations are perfect.

I had a total carrying capacity of 39000 before I clicked on the idol item for +10%. And it remained 39000 even after my 50 idols were deducted. One day later (today) my galleons can take 40200. So your math worked out fine for both cases.

Icy, I had no issues with the daily send limit. Still, your point is an important detail to remember.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys!

The issue has resolved itself.

Kev

Actually, it's weekly limit, not daily, but that's not what Icy was talking about.

There are several ways to raise the daily limit, but what Icy is talking about is the amount that you can send at once. Regardless of your remaining weekly limit (as long as it's not zero), the window for sending to another player offers you 50k at most.

For example, my galleons are 80k (max. without prestige). If I raid someone for 30k, I'll be able to send them the original 50k plus these 30k, i.e., a total of 80k, before reaching the weekly limit. However, I will still have to do it in two shipments, because the maximum for a single shipment is 50k. That's what Icy was talking about.

Thanks for the detailed explanation, Crowbar! I did not know about the addition from raids, it is useful to know. ;-)
