Ridiculous Monster Fleets

I fail to understand why these money players like coromal with Pirates United, attack thousands of Dread units get upset when someone of a lot lower level responds to their raid with a Fireship. Are you really so arrogant that you think you should be able to just run around with these stupid numbers raiding people attempting to intimidate them? Or are you just trying to show off the money you spend?

Or maybe you are just stupid and expect the player to send an attack against you and lose their entire fleet.

Low level players that don't have much money to spend, only wise investment is to get FireShips. At least that way they have a chance of getting some points back as you luv that PvP so much.

I find that weird. When you raid someone you should be expecting them to retaliate so by him getting upset meant that all that money he spent to beat people and intimidate them did not work. Guess he was upset that his strategy did not work and he used a lot of money for it. Especially on a smaller guy than him (I am assuming here). Well if your are upset, don't be, try to enjoy the game as it is designed to be played.

Firstly I am not in Pirates United, secondly I have no idea what anyone else’s game plan is or how much money they may or may not spend.

I do not think 200 Krakens is a monster fleet to be honest guys, a lot of players do not use dread fleet to its best advantage.

If a player wishes to spend their money on a game, should it be a subject to public ridicule? <rhetoric>

I am sure someone can make a counter argument of the wisdom of spending money on fire ships, likewise a lot of players do not use them efficiently either.

I would also like to add, at level 101 ( last time I looked) it isn't going to be easy to find some one above or the same, player level, Now is it!

I have seen some hilarious stuff while doing the terrible 10, blockades.

Sending O to liberate and leaving it there - glug, glug, glug as they sink to my O blockade.

Sending D to liberate, I set a D trap and, glug, glug, glug as they sink.

Even funnier is, instead of asking a BH advisor, they then send even more, glug, glug, glug.

With fire ships, not terrible 10 related, sending 10 at a haven with 1 scally and no cannon.

Plarium has to love these folks.

As for why the coiners send so much, who cares? Once in a while they get caught napping with 10M of O out - glug, glug, glug.

We need coiners, someone has to pay for the server bandwidth.

Wow I don't remember seeing your name in the post, Interesting maybe coromal is your alternate account

Sorry my Mistake it was 500 Krakens and all other Defensive Dreads with the supporting units

When a Player attempts to use it to intimidate others and chase them out of the game  YES

I am sure someone can make a counter argument of the wisdom of spending money on fire ships, likewise a lot of players do not use them efficiently either.

Wow I'm certain if you were so wise with the Game RuAL would have come knocking on your door

I would also like to add, at level 101 ( last time I looked) it isn't going to be easy to find some one above or the same, player level, Now is it!

And your point is? Because you spend a lot of money proves more that you have to win by buying it than knowledge and strategy

Anyone, feel free to correct my math if it is wrong, but, according to my math, 1 Fireship cost 500 rubies. It is capable of destroying 5 Juggernauts. 5 Juggernauts cost 833 rubies. If my math is correct, then you get more Bang for your buck buying Fireships.

This whole thread sounds to me like someone is b-u-t-t-hurt because they got attacked.

I'm new to the game, a low level 21, but I knew going into it that one day you'll win some and some other day you won't. And no, I don't know any of you here or in the game.

As for people spending money on the game - their choice, their money. Life isn't fair. Some have money to spend, some don't. I  see that you registered over 6 months ago- so you have been playing for a while. I would have expected that by now you should know how 'games' work in general. Don't be a sore loser.

Then again, if you are a kid (I do not know your age) - then I apologize to you and tell you that you have every right to be upset. However, if you are a grown up you need to get over it. It's embarrassing.

Everybody here wants to play their game - and not yours.

If it makes you feel better - come attack me, because I really don't care. It is - after all - just a game.

Point A

I am sure RuAL do not need my help, they seem to be doing very well without me, and why I would want to join someone else is an idea that has not crossed my mind.

Point B You are entitled to your opinion, The problem with expressing your opinion is when you do it in a public area, all the people reading it, formulate an opinion of the person expressing that opinion.

Your opinion I find  “ Bizarre ”

Enjoy your day plank.

You're wrong.

First, and foremost, you get to use Juggs as many times as you can until they are killed. A Fireship is a one-time deal.

Second, closely related to the first, is that you're assuming a full kill for a Fireship. On average, if your Fireships kill 50% of their killing capacity (due to many players being turtled most of the time), you're quite lucky. This greatly reduces the "Juggs" part of the calculation.

Third, you can make Juggs with resources and time, i.e., for no money at all.

Fourth, when you kill someone's Juggs with a Fireship (presumably in their haven; you'll almost never find them reinforcing other havens), you kill 7 of them. They get 30% (i.e., 2) back for free (0 rubies), which brings us to your 5. But, further 40% of the original 7 (i.e., 3) can be revived for 50% of the price (250 rubies). So, to recover from losing 7 Juggs, you need to buy only the remaining 7-2-3 = 2 Juggs at full price (333 rubies). Your total expenses are 0+250+333=583 rubies, which is just a bit more expensive than a Fireship and this is the best/worst (depending on the perspective) scenario.

Disclaimer: Sure, Fireships can sometimes be bought at half of the price, but so can be Juggs and their revivals, so I'm ignoring those specials.

First and foremost, I am assuming units bought not built, since Plank started this thread about "money players".

(Quoted from his first sentence.) Also: Doesn't matter if units were discounted. Percentages would still be the same.

Second, I've been quite successful obtaining full kills using Fireships.

Third, I am not considering repurchasing units from infirmary. That would be more money spent.

Fourth, I used Juggernauts as comparison. You would most likely take out Subs or other units. If it were Subs, then the cost would go up slightly.

Fifth. My math hasn't been disproved yet.

Also, it is cheaper to build new Juggernauts (32.4 rubies each) versus buying them (167 rubies each) or even reviving them for 84 rubies each.

Gladly, why would one use Jugs for D to begin with so the math is moot. For the most, FSs are a total waste of rubies. Hit a haven with 2 scallies with 5 FS, brilliant.

Mine was hit with 10+5, also with just haven guards there. Then they tried to raid. Tried.

I personally like my fireships, but I also use them to set traps. I fireship X player they come back and try to raid or block me. I ask my crew if they'd like pvp or leave out my own defense, so yours is wiped out. You complain PU is coining for Krakens, really. You're doing the same thing for fireships. Isn't that calling the kettle black or did I miss something.

Lastly if you're a low level player, why are you tangling with players in the 70s+? If you're new to the game you can expect players in the higher levels to know what they're doing more so than yourself. They may not be pros but they have the experience to have an edge over you.

Lastly as an experienced player the fleets of 10 million plus many of have aren't because we bought them its because we knew how to work the ligthouse to our favor
