There's always a trick in riddles to see if the person solving is paying attention to detail. The kraggen in the equation to solve only has 4 tentacles. Notice all the rest have 5 tentacles, why is that? Notice there is no differences in any of the barrels or ships. Therefore my opinion is in the last equation, it reads as follows.

1 + 20 X 4=? .....................Rule of basic math is to multiply first.......20 x 4 =80........80 +1= 81

Ship = 20 (20+20+20=60)

Octopus = 5 (20+5+5=30)

Barrel = 1 (5-(1 & 1)=3

1+20*5=101  (Order of operation requires doing 20*5 first so it's 1+100)

X+X+X=60

3x=60

X=60/3

X=20

X+Y+Y=30

20+Y+Y=30

2Y=30-20

Y=10/2

Y=5

Y-R=3

5-R=3

_R=3-5

-R(-1)=-2(-1)

R= 2

1/2R+X*Y=?

((1/2) *2)+(20*5)=?

1+100=?

101=?

The ships be 20 each, the Krakens be 5 each, and the rum be but 1 apiece,

So me hearties the rum plus the Kraken times the ship can only be, by Davy Jones Locker, a total of 101.

Avast and keelhaul all those who disagree
