1.24 Release Highlights

Greetings from Plarium!

We’ve got another game update coming, and there are several neat features included. Check out the Update Highlights to get a brief description of what you can expect in the near future.

New Mech: Arachnos

A brand new Mech will enter the fray with Update 1.24! Though it is slow and lacks thick armor, Arachnos brings much to the table nonetheless: it possesses some of the highest Energy Capacity in the game (on par with Guardians and Panthers) and has a unique Ability called Spider Turret that can significantly hamper the opposing team’s effort. Namely, it can drop a stationary defense turret which will attack any enemy Mech entering its firing radius for 10 seconds.

We plan to release a full Mech Spotlight for Arachnos at some point in the near future, so keep an eye out for it if you want to learn the nitty-gritty details! In short, these turrets will allow you to defend Control Beacons, leave obstacles covering flanking routes, or support your team as they advance. It will be a powerful tool in the hands of a skilled Pilot!

New Event Type: Derby Events

A new type of Events will become available with the update as well. Some of these Derby Events will get triggered as soon as you reach a set level of Player Experience, others will be run on a schedule and will only be available to players within specific Experience brackets.

Derby Events will be broken down into separate parts, each opening a day after the previous part. Completing Event objectives will yield points and let you collect rewards - that principle is exactly the same as what you’ve already seen.

Oh, and Arachnos will be available as part of such an event after the Update, so don’t miss the chance to get it!

Weekly Objectives

This feature is the logical continuation of the Daily Objectives you already have. They work exactly the same way, except the objectives themselves are tougher and you have an unlimited amount of time to complete them rather than a day. Of course, great objectives also provide greater rewards - you’ll be able to see for yourself once the Update goes live!

Hay  guys  and  gals,

So  impressive  what you  are  developing  here  in  Mech  Arena.    This  is  significantly  better  than  other  platforms  (War  Robots).    You're  developing  an  incrediblly  well  balanced  game  and  the  recent  changes  are  only  making  it  better.    I  can't wait  to  see  you  game  go  global  to  se  increased  players  and  such  great  variety.    Love  that  you  are  removing  having  duplicate  bots  in  the  hangers,  this  was  an  excellent  decision  -  well  done,  really  good.

The  recent  addition  of  new  bots  are  so  well  balanced  its  great  to  see.    One  balance  that  may  be  needed  is  the  upgrade  cost  of  mechs.    For  example  the  Lancer  is  very  expensive  to  updrage  compared  to any  other  bots.

It  would  be  great  to  also  see  the  introduciton  of  partial  destructable  environments  so  that  damage  could  be  done  if  a  play  gets  caught  in  an  underpass.    An  an  opposing  player  could  flush  a  player  out  by  taking  out  the  environment  then  finishing  them  off.

Thanks for your feedback, Pilot! It's a pleasure to read it 😍

Regarding your suggestion, would you like to see some buildings and other surroundings destroyed and occasionally damaging the mechs around? Did I get it right?
