Let’s consider a League with 140 active players for the purpose of this document.
League Quests… This is what it’s all about. Yes I know the rewards seem low, but as you’ll soon see, that’s a major misconception. There are 6 types of League Quests:

1. Raid rival Castles (points are awarded just like in Raid ranking. 1 resource=1 point) 2.Build troops (points are awarded for queuing up units, training them) 3.Daily Quests (1 daily quest reward claimed = 1 point) 4. Kill enemy troops (points are awarded for killing enemy units, just like in PvP but we are not awarded with points for lost units during battle like in regular PvP event) 5. Engage Battlegrounds (points are awarded for taking out BG’s) 6. Downgrade Beacon (Need to take down a beacon from another League and hold it for at least 15 minutes) This ranking is made on purpose. Easiest to fulfil are the first three (or four) Quests. The last one is basically impossible to do unless it’s during a PvP/Alliance/League event.
So let’s examine the thresholds for each tier:

Let’s test some scenarios for each League Quest type. I will not calculate Tier 1 since they are easy to get (except the Beacon downgrade quest). I will take into consideration math calculations for Tier 2 and higher.

 

 

Ø  LEAGUE QUEST: Raids

Ø  SCENARIO: R1. All members raiding equally

Ø  Tier 2: 1 000 000 resources

Ø  Tier 3: 6 000 000 resources

Ø  Tier 4: 20 000 000 resources

Tier 2: 1 000 000 / 140 = 7 143

Tier 3: 6 000 000 / 140 = 42 857

Tier 4: 20 000 000 / 140 = 142 857

We would need for Tier 4 reward 20 million resources, that’s 140k per member. 140k in one day? That’s 3x50k raids or 10x15k. Impossible? No. Hard? Please…

Optimally to get Tier 4 reward all 140 members should use only 3-4 raids to get 50k resources from each raid but in reality some people don’t raid often or efficiently. Let’s examine another, more real scenario then:

Ø  LEAGUE QUEST: Raids

Ø  SCENARIO: R2. Some members are war machines, some are having difficulties

We have some Raiding champions in our League. Week 2-9th March League’s top 10:

These people are able to get 700-800k within one day, even up to 1,2-1,5M if they had all their 10 raids available when the LQ appeared. But let’s face reality. A real situation would be like about 10 members are raiding for 500k+

500k x 10 = 5M

Only 10 members are contributing 25% of total required points for Tier 4. Let’s assume that another 10 members would get only 400k (10 raids for 40k each or 5-8 boosted raids for 70-80k each):

400k x 10 = 4M, 4M + 10M = 14M

20 Raiders can do Tier 3 alone and even put the Tier 4 within reach, the remaining 120 Raiders would have to do only raids for a TOTAL of 50k. It’s not impossible right? You just need to stop being lazy and act, join the cause. Others doing the hard job for you…

Feel free to pull conclusions while I will analyse the units building type quest next.

 

Ø  LEAGUE QUEST: Build units

Ø  SCENARIO: BU1. All members building equally

Ø  Tier 2: 3 000 points

Ø  Tier 3: 20 000 points

Ø  Tier 4: 50 000 points

Tier 2: 3 000 / 140 = 22

Tier 3: 20 000 / 140 = 143

Tier 4: 50 000 / 140 = 357

According to calculations made on previous quests the best resource to points ratio units are:

1.       Undead Dragon (177 resources per point)

2.       Renegade (178)

3.       Archer (252)

4.       Seeker (266)

5.       Lost One (280)

6.       Pikeman (300)

7.       Paladin (346)

8.       Dwarf (349)

9.       Knight (361)

10.   Great Lord (391)

I understand that not everyone can build Undead Dragons or Renegades yet. But Knights, Paladins? We use them for League events right? So why not take an effort and postpone some upgrades to put some Paladins and Knight into the queue now? It’s a win-win situation anyway.

22 points are 15 Paladins or 4 Knights

143 points are 96 Paladins or 24 Knights

357 points are 238 Paladins or 60 Knights

Of course like in previous analysis we have some freaks like Martin, Christian, Mihai or Lucas who are spending resources on building troops like crazy or Angel and Lucas competing with each other so they could make our life easier but still – you are not building units at all? Seriously? Not a single Pike or Spy that you’ve lost last time when you spied a castle? Ask yourself if you are really good enough to be competitive for your enemies. They build their troops 24/7.

Let’s move on.

 

LEAGUE QUEST: Daily Quests

Ø  SCENARIO: DQ1. All members doing dailies

Ø  Tier 2: 100 points

Ø  Tier 3: 500 points

Ø  Tier 4: 1 000 points

Tier 2: 100 / 140 = Not even one…

Tier 3: 500 / 140 = 4

Tier 4: 1 000 / 140 = 8

In this quest one point is awarded for every claimed reward from daily quest. That means you can have some stashed and unclaimed Daily quest rewards but no one never knows when this type of LQ would appear so I assume no one is having any quests saved. We are starting with clean accounts.

You get 3 rounds of daily quests per 24 hours. Those who don’t have Paragon status activated get 5 Daily quests per round in two categories: Individual and League. That roughly summed up gives:

2 categories x 5 quests = 10 quests per round

10 quests x 3 rounds = 30 quests per day

That leads us into conclusion that in the current state where we have 140 active members and assuming that like 15-20 of them have their Paragon activated we should reach Tier 3 reward and even aim for Tier 4 with ease.

Seriously… 8 daily quests isn’t the hardest job to do!

 

 

Ø  LEAGUE QUEST: PvP

Ø  SCENARIO: PVP1. All members hunting

Ø  Tier 2: 1 000 points

Ø  Tier 3: 12 000 points

Ø  Tier 4: 60 000 points

Tier 2: 1 000 / 140 = 8

Tier 3: 12 000 / 140 = 86

Tier 4: 60 000 / 140 = 429

In this LQ points are awarded for killed units. It’s similar to PvP event during weekends with one exception – you are not getting points for lost units during battle. In a REAL PvP event your points are from killed and lost units. In this LQ points are from killed units only.

I understand that “catching” someone’s units is extremely hard and just a few factors decide it:

·         You got lucky

·         Enemy left his troops out in the castle/settlement

·         Enemy lost his connection while his troops reached their destination (his caste, settlement)

·         Enemy fell asleep

Therefore I think we should be happy if we would get Tier 3 reward.

 


 

I will not elaborate about the two remaining LQ’s since we are not doing BG’s whenever we will get this LQ and we are not killing Beacons because we have LQ active. I would call those LQ’s as a 24h break from quests whenever they will appear :)

 

 

But why I am writing all this? What’s this is for?

There are quests that are worth a small attention and this quests are:

Ø  PvP (You’re not killing a single Archer or two at sieged bot castle? You’re not raiding???)

In this quest our goal should be Tier 3, we should be satisfied with Tier 2 but still hungry for more. Tier 1? Disaster…

 


 

And there are quests that are mandatory for a decent League:

Ø  Raids (Come on? You rely only on your production from your buildings? Maybe you should start growing crops in FarmVille rather playing a war-based game.)

Ø  Build units (You’re not building units on your own? Only when your Marshall tells you to build 1k Paladins for League event?)

Ø  Daily Quests (You’re not doing dailies? You don’t need risk-free resources and an extra 3 crystals per day for free?!)

In those quests mentioned above Tier 4 should be our main goal, with Tier 3 we should be satisfied but Tier 2 reward should be considered as a complete disaster and failure.

But why am I so pushing and insisting on doing those quests? Ask yourself those questions:

1.       What is your daily resources production?

2.       Are you a coiner?

3.       Has the League helped and is helping you?

4.       Are you here for protection?

 

I asked myself – my answers:

 

1.       2,7k gold and iron per hour. I’m trying to keep my food production at 800-1200/h so that’s 1k/h average. That makes 2,7k+2,7k+1k = 6400 per hour.  Approx 150k per day

2.       I wouldn’t call that coining. I buy Sapphires only when the offer is REALLY good and I have some spare money cause in my country the currency exchange ratio is killing me. (nearly 4-1 for each 1 USD)

3.       Infinite times

4.       Yes! I want to protect others (hell ya!)

 

Tier 4 reward is 63k rez worth, that is nearly HALF of my daily production. 3 Wyverns are extra 9 hours build time that I don’t have to wait. 1025 Sapphires are worth around $7.00. But let’s leave Sapphire calculation because you don’t really have them on hand – you get items worth that value (boosts). How many times have you had to go out of your house but your army was coming back to the Castle in 10-15 minutes so you had to wait so you could hide it in the Catacombs? How many times have you wanted to attack (and get revenge on) a guy that is far away from you but you didn’t want to wait too long? This is where and when your boosts are going to help you.

Let’s say that our League was able to get in one week:

ü  1x Tier 4 reward (raids)

ü  2 x Tier 3 reward (raids + units building)

ü  1 x Tier 2 reward (PvP + units building)

ü  1x Tier 1 reward (Daily quests)

ü  1x no reward (Beacon downgrade)

Your total result would be:

Ø  14k of each resource (42k total)

Ø  50 Archers

Ø  40 Paladins

Ø  6 Warlocks

Ø  3 Wyverns

Ø  5 x 5 min boosts

Ø  4x 10min boosts

Ø  3x 25% boosts

Ø  3 crystals

Nice right? Do you know that only units are worth 130k resources? Now multiply that by 160 members of our League. YES! ALL MEMBERS ARE GETTING THOSE REWARDS – EVEN THOSE LONG AGO!

Do you get the picture now? Are you still going to complain that those rewards are weak and it’s not worth any effort? Are you going to sit in the corner doing nothing while others are working for you or maybe you will join our cause to make our life easier?

Only Tier 2 reward is worth 1.3M resources for whole League!!! Over one million that our League can get in 24h (or less) while other Leagues can’t because they don’t care. Because they complain all the time and they don’t see a bright side in this whole thing.

I prefer to act instead of whining and yapping. I prefer to exploit this to our advantage.
