Trading in MMO’s is not only a fun side quest, but it's almost essential if you want to become a fully-fledged gaming aficionado! There are only so many daily raids to conduct or missions to complete! At the same time, there are only so many resources you can produce! So, how do you get that extra advantage to have enough production for construction, battling and improving? Trading is the key!
In all online games, there is going to be a resource that some other players don't have enough of, but always need. Of course the opposite is likely true too; a resource that everyone finds simple enough to produce but cannot get rid of! This is where you take the advantage!
Now, you may have already positioned yourself well and constructed the right resource buildings to produce an abundance of the much sought after resource that the rest of your MMO world is craving. If that's the case, then all is right in the world and you can simply conduct your trades directly and reap the benefits! However, if it was that easy then everyone would be doing it, right? Correct!
So you will probably have to think about it in another way. To get your advantage you may need to trade resource ‘A’ for resource ‘B’. Then with your abundance of overflowing resource ‘B’ you can trade for what you actually need, resource ‘C’. If you take the time to think about it, there will always be a way!
Now, you should be happy that you have the resource you so sorely needed. But what if you could make a profit at the same time as trading resources, while increasing productivity and constructing the buildings required for new levels in the game? Sounds good? Well the good news is that not only is it possible, but it is quite commonplace within almost every MMO!
So here is what you do.
Take resource ‘A’, which you have too much of and don’t need so much of and trade that at any ratio above 1:1, for example 1.2:1 or 1.5:1. The new resource you now have, but don’t need or want, you will be receiving in over whelming quantities hopefully. You can now take your newly increased amounts of resource ‘B’ and trade that at 1:2 of resource ‘C’ and voila, you have now got double the quantity of the resource you needed as opposed to the resource you had too much of!
