I received an email that's saying from storm fall and I'm just wondering if it's real or spam? It's having to do with a Special solo development tournament

If you are subscribed to the email updates then yes it's a real email. Plarium sends them out to notify players of new tournaments, updates, etc.
Remember, for this game and any other game, any email asking you for a password/user log in is fake. (Unless you requested a password recovery.) Always be wary.
